Vanita “Vee” Jananne Ludwig

-

December 21, 1945 - July 6, 2018 Resident of San Jose

Vee Ludwig has passed away following a courageous fight with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, cheerful attitude, as well as her dedication to family and friends.

Born in Danville, Illinois, she moved with her family to San Jose, CA in 1954 and spent her life in the Santa Clara Valley. Vee graduated from Camden High School and continued onto West Valley College. She received a degree in dental hygiene which began her life-long career in the dental profession. After working as a hygienist she became an office manager where she found her niche. With a cheerful attitude, organizational skills and a smile Vee kept patients happy and relaxed.

Beginning in childhood she enjoyed dancing and was an accomplished seamstress. She produced beautiful garments for family and assisted others with their sewing skills. She enjoyed crafting and knitting, community service and gardening.

Vee is survived by her loving family - brother and sister-in-law Barry and Jenny Ludwig of San Jose, nephew Matthew Ludwig (Anna) of Portland, ME, niece Hilary Ludwig of San Jose, great-nephew Enzo and great-niece Willa Ludwig of Portland, ME. It is with great sadness that we have lost our dear sister and aunt but we are comforted knowing that she is at peace. Being a part of her struggles these past 6 years, we know she is in a better place and smiling down on us from her place among the angels.

A celebration of Vee’s life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to either Loaves and Fishes of San Jose or The Alzheimer’s Association.
