Thomas Lee Ward
April 29, 1941 – July 25, 2018 Resident of Los Gatos
Saddened by the passing of Tom Ward, Tom left us on July 25th due to heart failure. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Susan Nadine Ward, mother Lois Arleta Ward, two sons Jody Lee Ward (Qaio) and Thomas James Ward, and one daughter Julie Nadine Ward-Miller, four brothers, Leroy (Karen), Lonnie (Zeola), Terry (June), Troy (Bonnie), and one sister Ruth (John), three beloved grandchildren, Luke Miller, Sarah Nadine Ward, and Kyle Amyrillis Miller, and numerous extended family members and friends.
In his much faceted life, he has accomplished many spiritual feats. He was very holistic in his spiritual healing. He performed the healing arts for both humans and horses. He developed subdivisions in Santa Cruz Mountains, found water using water witch technique, and was known for the quality of custom home construction. He purchased and rebuilt the Southern Kitchen in Los Gatos after the ’89 earthquake, later selling to business partner Rose Thompson whose family still owns it.
An avid sportsman, Tom enjoyed bowling, camping, waterskiing, slot car racing, cross country cycling, soccer, weight training, massage therapy, and driving his tractor at any opportunity, as in restoring the family’s ancient 1880s Sund Orchard in Los Gatos.
Services will be held at Darling & Fischer, Chapel of the Hills at 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Los Gatos, on Sunday, July 29th with viewing from 9am – 11am, with ceremony beginning at 11am.
