‘Frontline’ dives deep into border separation­s

DON’T MISS » “The Sinner” — Last summer’s hit drama series gets a reboot with a fresh crime and a mostly new cast. Det. Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) returns to his hometown in rural New York where an 11-year-old boy (Elisha Henig) appears to have killed his parents. As Ambrose comes to realize that there’s nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigat­ion pulls him into the town’s hidden darkness. He’s pitted against those who will stop at nothing to protect its secrets, including the leader of a cultlike group played by Carrie Coon. (10 p.m. Wednesday, USA).

MONDAY » “Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” is a documentar­y series from Jay-Z that examines the life and legacy of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed African-American teen who was shot and killed in 2012. His death gave rise to the #BlackLives­Matter movement. (10 p.m., Paramount Network).

TUESDAY » Hosted by former “Parks and Recreation” stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, “Making It” is a new reality competitio­n that features eight creative types tackling a variety of homemade projects. The winner snags a $100,000 prize. (10 p.m., NBC). TUESDAY » A timely installmen­t of “Frontline” investigat­es what happened to immigrant children separated from their parents at the border. The film explores the impact of the Trump administra­tion’s “zero tolerance” policy, and how both Trump and Obama dealt with minors at the border. (10 p.m., PBS).

WEDNESDAY » The buddy comedy “Alone Together” launches its second season with back-to-back episodes. The platonic and dysfunctio­nal relationsh­ip between Esther and Benji continues to baffle everyone around them, as they juggle odd jobs, their love lives and aspiration­s of social status. THURSDAY » Break out the pom-poms for the 13th season of “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleade­rs: Making the Team.” Among the hopefuls this year are a Miss America runner-up, profession­al hip-hop dancers and a former

FRIDAY » How about a light comedy to end your work week? In “Like Father,” Kristen Bell plays a workaholic executive, who after being dumped by her fiancé, somehow ends up on her honeymoon cruise with

the last person she ever expected — her estranged father (Kelsey Grammer). (Netflix).

SATURDAY » Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell earned Oscars for their stellar performanc­es in 2017’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”

It’s a dark comedy-drama about a grieving mother who stirs up trouble when she rents a series of billboards to call attention to her daughter’s unsolved murder. (8 p.m., HBO).
