Zukes, Assyrian food star in weekend festivals across the Bay Area

Live music, arts and crafts, zucchini, Polynesian boat races and Assyrian culture are in the offing in a busy weekend of Bay Area festivals. Here’s a look.

Hayward Zucchini Festival: Who’d a thunk the ubiquitous summer squash would be the star of one of the Bay Area’s more popular fests?
