Bristol Palin slams ex-husband?
It’s becoming clear that Bristol Palin and ex-husband Dakota Meyer are not practicing Gwyneth Paltrow’s “conscious uncoupling” model of an amicable divorce.
Instead Palin and Meyer, the parents of two young daughters who finalized their divorce last month, took to Instagram Thursday to attack each other in an series of angry posts, the Daily Mail reported.
Notably, Meyer, 30, shared since-deleted screenshots of texts that Palin, a reality TV star who is currently filming the show “Teen Mom O.G.,” had allegedly exchanged with another man in which she bashed Meyer’s service in Afghanistan, according to the Daily Mail.
Meyer, who served in the Marines for four years, was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama in 2011, three years before he met Palin, the oldest daughter of Sarah Palin, who was the late Sen. John McCain’s presidential running mate in 2008.
In the exchange, Meyer said, Bristol Palin wrote that he is a “coward” and a “b—” before suggesting he didn’t
deserve his Medal of Honor, America’s highest and most prestigious military decoration, the Daily Mail said.
Meyer received the medal for an incident in September 2009, when the corporal killed eight Taliban insurgents and rescued 36 Marines and other troops despite being shot in both arms, the Christian Science Monitor reported. At age 23, the Kentucky native became the second-youngest living Medal of Honor recipient and the first living Marine in 38 years to be so honored.
“He’s no hero,” Palin wrote, according to Meyer, who said the exchange was with a man his ex-wife had never met in person. “He didn’t do that (expletive). He’s a b—.” The exchange must have happened when Palin was pregnant with one of their two daughters, either in 2015 or in 2017.
Meyer apparently felt compelled to share his exwife’s negative opinions of him after she complained about him in a since-deleted Instagram story.
“I was finally able to get my pictures back from my old house/ex-husband,” Palin wrote on Instagram.
