Dorothy Schoendorf died peacefully on September 3, 2018 at the age of 91. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Patrice Schoendorf, and a son, Walter J. Schoendorf, Jr. (Gu Fang). Her husband Walter J. Schoendorf predeceased her on April 18, 2016, and her oldest daughter, Marybeth Hogan (Michael J. Hogan) predeceased her on July 20, 2010. She was loved dearly as a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Samuel and Terri Kaeding (Cory and Sierra); John Kaeding (CJ, Keira and Serenity); Benjamin and Amy Kaeding (Benjamin Jr., Raven, Trinity and Jedidiah): Laurel and David Audino (Emmett and Theodore); Timothy and Roseanne Kaeding (Timothy Jr., Claire, and Amelia); Sara and Adrian Barrientos (Israel, Malia, Aiden, and Adilyn); Emily and Roman Aldana (Logan and Liliana); Jennifer Schoendorf; Kristin Schoendorf; Michael and Katie Hogan (Samuel and Ella); Molly and Chris McGee (Miles and Parker); Matthew and Adrianna Hogan (Olly); Miles Hogan and Matthew Graf. Dorothy was a great-great-great grandmother to Penelope, Benjamin Jr.’s daughter.

Dorothy was born on September 30, 1926 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was devoted to the Catholic Church and innumerable charitable causes.

There will be a memorial mass with reception following on Friday, September 14, 2018, 11 am, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 219 Bean Ave., Los Gatos, CA 95030. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made Catholic Charities. Please mail checks to 2625 Zanker Road San Jose, CA 95134.
