Julie Casas, age 72, died peacefully on September 3, 2018 with her family by her side in San Jose, California. Julie was born on January 28th in Hollister California and was a graduate from San Benito Joint Union High School.

She worked for 30 years as Administra­tive Assistant for AT&T and 10 years for the San Jose Mercury News.

Julie’s interests included spending time with family especially her three grandsons. She enjoyed watching the San Francisco Giants and enjoyed running 10k’s that included, the Mercury News, Bay to Breakers and the Pat Tillman Run. Family and friends will always remember her for her warm smile and unlimited generosity toward anyone who needed or asked for her help.

She is survived by her husband, Al Casas who she was married to for 52 years. Her son Kevin Casas and daughter Darlene Casas Segarini (Steve) and her three grandsons, Aaron 17, Aiden,15 and Adam 9. Siblings included, Ernie Andrade (Mary Lou) Adrian Andrade ( Felicia) Berna LaPointe (Steve ), Cathy Andrade Gamboa (Rich) and numerous nieces and nephews,

Family, friends whose lives she touched are invited to attend a rosary which is scheduled for Sunday, September 9th at 6:00 p.m. at Grunnagles Funeral Home, 870 San Benito Street, Hollister, CA. There will also be a viewing beginning at 1:00 on Monday, September 10th, a Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 680 College Street, Hollister beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the interment a reception will be held at San Juan Oaks Golf Club, 3825 Union Road, Hollister. All are welcome to attend and celebrate and reminisce her life and how she touched us all. Memorial contributi­ons may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
