Rolling Loud Bay Area festival: Here’s what you need to know
It’s going to get Loud — real Loud — in Oakland. Rolling Loud Bay Area, a massive two-day hip-hop festival, will take over the grounds of the Oakland Coliseum complex Sept. 15-16. Here’s what you need to know about the event: Saturday lineup: Wiz Khalifa is the headliner and other top names include Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane, Playboi Carti, Kevin Gates, Joey Bada$$, Pusha T, Lil Baby, Jaden Smith, Ski Mask the Slump God, Iamsu! and Vic Mensa. Sunday lineup: Travis Scott tops the bill, which also includes such notables as Rae Sremmurd, YG, E-40, Young Thug, Suicideboys, Rich the Kid, Kamaiyah, Berner, Juice Wrld, Trippie Redd and Chief Keef. Overall lineup: Some 50 artists will be performing on two stages throughout the weekend. Hours: Noon-10 p.m. both days. Tickets: Two-day passes start at $180. Single-day tickets are not available. The festival grounds: The festival does not take place inside either Oracle Arena or the Coliseum, but rather in the parking lots outside those venues. Transportation: Use of public transportation is highly recommended, especially given that the festival will be operating on land usually used for parking. If you have to drive, give yourself plenty of time. There are parking lots near the entrance of the venue, but space is limited. Parking costs $40 for cars and $85 for buses and limos, according to the Coliseum website. Age restrictions: This is an allages festival, but only those 18 and over are allowed in the VIP ticket area. More information: www. rollingloud.com.
