Familiar faces show up in new places
You’ll surely recognize their faces, if not their personalities. This fall, several familiar television stars are back in front of the camera and hoping you’ll pledge your allegiance to their new shows. In some cases, they’ll be playing very different characters. Will we embrace them as we did before?

HER NEW ROLE >> Margaret, a brash, confident and occasionally naughty woman who bursts her way into the long-established boys club in a retirement community. She’s joined in the cast by a couple of other very familiar stars — David Alan Grier and Martin Mull.
JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT “9-1-1,” Fox
WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER >> “Party of Five,” “Ghost Whisperer,” “The Client List”
HER NEW ROLE >> Maddie, the sister of firefighter Evan “Buck” Buckley (Oliver Stark). She’s seeking a fresh start as a 911 operator. Hewitt replaces Connie Britton, who left the show after its first season.
