Patricia (Patti) Angelina Territo, 70, died on Oct, 3, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family. Patti fought a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer for one year.

Born in Philadelph­ia to Pasquale and Rosalie (DeStefano) Romantino. At age 7 her parents divorced and her mother decided to move to Miami Beach with her brother Gene. Patti attended St. Patricks Catholic Grammar School and graduated 9th grade in 1964. That summer her mother decided enough of Florida and moved to sunny San Jose. Patti started her sophomore year at Notre Dame High School graduating in 1967. She then attended San Jose City College and graduated in 1972. While attending college she worked at the Studio Theater on 1st Street and sold tickets in the little booth in front of the theater. Patti began her career at the City of San Jose in the Building Department in 1972. In 1977 while working in the Electrical Department she met her husband Chuck when he came in to obtain an electrical permit. It was love at first sight and on November 4, 1978 they were married. This November they would have celebrated their 40th anniversar­y. Patti left the city to spent the early years of their marriage being a devoted homemaker and mother. She sold Cherries in the fruit stand on the family orchard on Berryessa Road. She worked part time for Crime Alert and San Jose Business Machines. In 2000 Patti resumed her career with the City of San Jose at the Mineta-San Jose Internatio­nal Airport. You were always greeted by a Big Smile when you entered the Administra­tion Building. She loved her job, the people she worked with and the people she met. In 2015 she decided to retire to do more traveling. After retiring one of her co-workers at the city Gail suggested she volunteer at the Thrift Box in Willow Glen. She volunteere­d there until her illness in 2017. Patti loved vacationin­g at Pinecrest, San Jose Family Camp and traveling on Cruise Ships to Alaska, Mexico, Florida and New York. She looked forward to her yearly excursions with her friends Cheryl, Valarie and Kathy. Patti was a generous, kind, beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend and will be profoundly missed as well as her Big Smile.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents Pasquale Romantino, Rosalie DeStefano, and brother Gene Romantino. Patti is survived by her husband Chuck, son Charles, daughter Christie, and grandson Joseph. Brother Mark Romantino and sister Jackie Mormoando (Anthony) of New Jersey and loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Kaiser Hospice for the great care they gave Patti.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patti’s Life on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 4600 Hyland Avenue, San Jose.

Patti’s wishes were in lieu of flowers, she wanted donations to be made to The Thrift Box in Willow Glen. She loved volunteeri­ng there and knowing they were helping children.
