‘Great American Read’ crowns best-loved novel

For several weeks, this literary-minded series has led us on a fascinating journey through the pages of the nation’s 100 favorite tomes. Now comes the finale, in which host Meredith Vieira at long last reveals America’s best-loved novel, as determined by viewer votes. So what will it be? At last glance, “Charlotte’s Web,” by E.B. White, was at the head of the pack. If that lead holds up, it would really be some pig. (8 p.m. Tuesday, PBS).

After the Legends defeated Mallus and wiped the final anachronism from time, they find themselves in unfamiliar territory with the Time Bureau. TUESDAY » Break out the peanuts and Cracker Jack. It’s time for the World Series. Joe Buck and John Smoltz call the action as the American League and National League champions square off. (5 p.m., Fox).
TUESDAY » “The Guest Book,” an anthology comedy, returns for Season 2 with a new town (Mabel Beach) and a new tourist destination (the Bare Feet Retreat). But as always, the guests arrive with plenty of personal baggage. (10 p.m., TBS).

series imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. (Netflix).
SATURDAY » In the Oscarnominated film “The Post,” Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep deliver strong performances
as Washington Post executive editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Katharine Graham. Set in 1971, the movie recalls the newspaper’s attempts to publish the Pentagon Papers. (8 p.m., HBO).
