Emil, 94, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2018. Emil was sustained by the love of his family and attentive caregivers at the end of his life.

Emil was the devoted and loving husband of 56 years to his late wife Mary; beloved father to Jim and Richard; treasured Grandpop to Jim, Alisa, Andrea, Theresa, Michael and his fiancé, Natalie and Mary and her husband, Taylor Price; loving Great Grandpop to Monet, Bree, Colton, Maura and Michael; cherished father-in-law to Inga and Katie; caring brother to Jacob and dear uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. His family was of utmost importance to Emil, who was preceded in death by 13 of his siblings. Emil provided continual love and support to all of his family members.

Born December 25, 1923 in Cementon, PA, Emil lived in Saratoga, CA for 60 years. He was a proud US Army Air Corps WWII veteran of the European and Pacific campaigns and a pioneer in the aerospace industry beginning in 1948. He enjoyed a rewarding career as a dedicated manager at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company for 33 years. Emil valued his friends, coworkers and neighbors. He was always ready with a helping hand, kindness and encouragem­ent.

For his family, Emil provided a tremendous example of strength, courage, hope, wisdom, determinat­ion, self-reliance and perseveran­ce. He was a devout Catholic who lived the tenets of his faith. Per his request, funeral mass and committal are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Emil’s memory to the Parkinson Institute, 675 Almanor Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.
