The social worker called San Jose police about 5:20 p.m. to report the parental abduction.

San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said the mother, identified as 33-year-old Diana MoreiraDel Rio, kidnapped the 1-year-old while the social worker was in the restroom with the 11-yearold. The 11-year-old then disappeared while the social worker looked for the 1-year-old.
