Elsie passed away after a long illness on October 28th. Born in San Jose, she attended St. Joseph’s and St. Patrick’s Grammar Schools and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1954. Elsie was the much loved daughter of Marco J. and Frances E. (Fanara) LoBue. She married Anthony J. (Nino) DiBernardo on October 3, 1954 and they had four children, John M. (M. Tina), Mark S., Anthony J. Jr. (M. Julie) and Maria E. Sadly, Nino passed away in 1972 from Leukemia. Elsie had 10 grandchild­ren, Anthony III, Michael, Mark Jr., Gina, Kelly, Matthew, John R., John M. Jr., Angela and Aryanna. She had three great grandsons, Jacob, Noah and Kaiden. Elsie had two sisters, the late Mary Lou (LoBue) Foster and Marie C. (LoBue) Caralli. Her niece and nephews include Frances A. (Foster) Stone, the late Joseph M. Foster, Thomas J. Foster and Vincent M. Caralli. Elsie was employed by Coldwell Banker Real Estate Co. beginning in 1972 and worked her way up to become the company’s Northern California area Controller until her retirement in 1990.

Elsie married her much loved husband William P. (Bill) Van Dorn in 1974 and they remained together until her passing 44 years later. Elsie and Bill spent their retirement years traveling the world and had many fun adventures together. When Elsie was not traveling with Bill one of her greatest joys was spending time with her extensive family and friends. Elsie also enjoyed needlepoin­t, crocheting, knitting and was an avid reader.

Service to be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1200 Redmond Ave., San Jose, CA. 95120 at 11:00 am with reception/ celebratio­n of life to follow at: 1728 Cherry Ave, San Jose, Ca 95125
