James F. Kenny known to most as “Bud”, 97, of Crockett, passed away on Sunday October 21st, 2018 with his family by his side. Bud was born on September 17th, 1921 in Crockett, CA to James Kenny and Loretto Murphy.

Always proud of his Irish roots, he met his beautiful Italian bride Albertina (Alberta) Carlini at C&H Sugar. They wed in 1942 prior to his deployment to Italy for World War II.

At the end of WWII, after returning to Crockett, he and Alberta started a family welcoming Kevin (1952) and Bridget (1955). Their lives centered around family, St. Rose Catholic Church and Bud’s love for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.

After retiring from C&H sugar, he and Alberta spent their retirement years traveling the world and were very involved in the life of their grandson Jared. When Alberta passed in 2007, Bud remained active in his favorite card rooms.
