NCS playoffs

Division I: James Logan concluded a 7-4 season under first-year coach Ricky Rodriguez by losing 36-0 to Vintage-Napa (7-3) in the first round of the North Coast Section Division I playoffs. … Division II: Secondseed­ed Bishop O’Dowd scored four touchdowns in the first half and never looked back, rolling to a 35-7 win at home over No. 15 Hayward. Moe Flynn got O’Dowd (9-2) off to a quick start, throwing a 75-yard scoring toss to Sterling Stokes just seconds into the game. … Campolindo, which is seeded third in Division II, topped No. 14-seed Redwood. The No. 18 Cougars (9-2) led 14-0 at the half scored three touchdowns in the third quarter in what turned out to be a 35-6 romp. … No. 4 Granada took a 35-0 lead in the second quarter against No. 13 Livermore on its way to a 48-21 victory. Zack McIntire scored three times, and teammate Octavio Morales scored twice for the host Matadors (9-2). … Division III: Unbeaten and third-seeded Las Lomas (11-0) had little trouble rolling past Newark Memorial (3-8) 54-7 in the first round of the playoffs. Las Lomas led 27-0 after the first quarter. … No. 7 De Anza (6-5) got five touchdown passes from Davion Black in its 45-22 victory over No. 10 Tennyson (8-3).

South Bay/Peninsula

No. 6 Wilcox completed an undefeated regular season, beating Cupertino 34-0. The Chargers scored all of their points before halftime and then played only backups in the second half with a running clock. Wilcox won the outright Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division championsh­ip. … Justin Anderson ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns in seven carries and also threw for 69 yards and a touchdown to help lead No. 7 Menlo-Atherton to a 51-0 win over Woodside. The Bears (8-2) led 23-0 after the first quarter and 37-0 at halftime. … No. 9 Palo Alto tuned up for the CCS Open Division I playoffs with a 49-0 victory over Homestead. Jackson Chryst threw six touchdown passes — three to Jamir Shepard — as the Vikings finished the regular season 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the SCVAL De Anza Division . ... Live Oak (8-2, 5-2 BVAL Mt. Hamilton) had a big second half and knocked Oak Grove (6-4, 5-2) out of first place in the final game of the regular season with a 34-14 victory . ... Santa Clara’s Nick Garcia was a one-man scoring machine in a 50-36 win over Gunn, accounting for all of the Bruins’ points as they finished in a tie with Mountain View and Saratoga atop the SCVAL El Camino Division standings. Garcia ran for five touchdowns, kicked six PATs and scored on a two-point play. He also threw two touchdown passes as Santa Clara finished the regular season 6-4 overall and 5-1 in league. … Saratoga (6-4, 5-1 SCVAL El Camino) clinched a tri-division title and a spot in the CCS playoffs with a 55-0 shutout of host Lynbrook (0-10, 0-6). Saratoga, Santa Clara and Mountain View all tied for the El Camino title, but Santa Clara and Saratoga received the division’s automatic playoff spots due to CCS points, according to Saratoga coach Tim Lugo. … Mt. Pleasant (6-4, 6-1) won its fifth game in a row to clinch the BVAL West Valley Division title with a 40-16 victory over host Hill. … After Anthony Heard’s 23-yard run and Dara Keane’s point after gave Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep a 14-13 lead midway through the third quarter, Archbishop Mitty rallied to win 26-14 with touchdowns in each of the final two periods to win. Both teams finished the regular season 5-5 overall and 3-4 in WCAL play.

Oakland Athletic League

No. 17 McClymonds added another milestone when it blanked Oakland Tech 40-0 in the regular-season final for both teams. The Warriors (8-2, 5-0 Oakland Athletic League) didn’t allow a single point in league play, beating their five opponents by a cumulative score of 321-0. In addition, Mack won its 63rd game in a row against OAL competitio­n.
