Win the deadline race — nominate your employer today for Top Workplaces

-

Wherever you make a difference, whatever your goals, everyone deals with deadlines.

In the best workplaces, deadlines test your skills, inspire new thinking and provide a sense of accomplishment. If you work at a place that brings out the best in you, here’s one deadline you must make: The Top Workplaces nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 15! The simple, free process does not take long, but the sooner you sign up the better.

Top Workplaces helps you, your employer and the Bay Area prove that best practices work. The Top Workplaces process involves employees taking an anonymous survey that explores how your peers, leaders and the company function and achieve. What better way to tell your employer that they are on the right track? And to tell them what else they can do to ensure you and your team continue to thrive?

Being named a Top Workplace can help a company or nonprofit with hiring, retention, brand awareness and even new contracts. But most of all it is a chance for employees to take matters into their own hands and give a shout-out to their co-workers and managers. Take the first step today before time runs out at www. mercurynews.com/nominate.

Top Workplaces discuss the benefits Dudum Real Estate Group

“We use the Top Workplaces logo in our marketing and recruiting materials. We love sharing our repeated award with all of our clients, future employees and team members! It has become part of who we are as a company. Our broker, Julie Del Santo, is committed to ensuring that we provide the level of service and care that has earned us this honor year after year.

“At Dudum Real Estate Group we pride ourselves on commitment to our agents and staff. Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. Receiving this award every year is very important to us as we grow and remain committed to honesty, integrity and communication. We feel honored to have our agents and staff recognize our efforts to ‘keep it real’ in this fun, inviting environment, while remaining serious about what we do. We proudly share the results when recruiting or hiring talented new team members.

“We believe that being named a Top Workplace increases pride and morale within our existing staff and helps managers retain top talent. The Top Workplace designation sets us apart from other organizations in our very competitive job market where recruitment is extremely challenging. Being able to share our five years as a Top Workplace with prospective job candidates keeps us competitive with professionals seeking an employment opportunity in which growth, support and being valued are important.”

Turo

“Turo’s employee retention has always been one of our biggest selling points — we have dozens of folks who have been with us two, three, four years, and true OG veterans who have been loyal Turists for five, six, even seven years! These long tenures are a rarity in Silicon Valley startups. As businesses grow, however, it can be difficult to maintain that small-town feel as the workplace begins to feel like a big city. Being ranked as a Top Workplace has reminded everyone that we’re still that same scrappy, earnest startup from all those years ago, just bigger, smarter, and more sophisticated. It helps us show candidates that yes, people really do enjoy coming to work here. Yes, they really do care about and respect each other deeply. Yes, we really do have a Turo band who slays at rocking out to ’80s and ’90s cult classic hits. And yes, our CEO really does DJ all of our parties. We’ve always known Turo was a pretty cool place to work — there’s unbelievable opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real impact on the business at all levels and in all departments — but being ranked as a Top Workplace both validates it and broadcasts this special place to the rest of the world.

“Turo has always been an amazing place to work, and this year, we’re thrilled to be officially recognized as a Top Workplace publicly! Our zesty, collaborative culture — ‘compelling, rather than cultish,’ according to Turo CEO Andre Haddad — has always been the heart and soul of the business, and this award puts that ethos forth for the world to see. Products are only as good as the people who build them, and communities are only as rich as the people who fuel and cultivate them. Bringing these values to the fore with such a prestigious award has stoked the team’s pride in their workplace, confirmed their career decisions, and helped us recruit top talent who can continue to strengthen our company culture and values. As the business grows, so must the team, and this award has really crystallized what so many of us have known all along — that Turo is a Top Workplace, in the Bay Area and far beyond, and that the diverse, pioneering talent driving the business forward, from the executive staff to the newest fresh-faced intern, is the essence of the entire business.”

“We expect the following advantages: It should help increase overall company visibility and make our company more attractive to prospective employees. It should expand our recruiting pool and enable us to hire more qualified future employees. It should also help boost the internal morale of the company.”

Veracyte

“Being named a Top Workplace five years in a row validates the great culture our employees have helped create at Veracyte. This prestigious award reinforces the pride our employees take in our company and the work we do every day to help patients. competitive life sciences field.” How to nominate your company

Energage, our Top Workplaces research partner, will conduct the employee surveys. They have surveyed more than 2.8 million employees at nearly 7,000 organizations last year alone. Energage, based in Exton, Pennsylvania, conducts this survey in partnership with Bay Area News Group. The Top Workplaces list is entirely based on employee feedback through the survey process. Last year, the survey generated responses from more than 16,000 employees in the Bay Area.

Employees are asked 24 questions, and the employer may add five more. The questions measure employee opinions in the areas of engagement, organizational health and satisfaction. The identity of employees is kept anonymous. When the results are complete, each participating company receives a free summary report.
