Get ready for Noise Pop

The 2019 edition of Noise Pop, the long-running annual celebratio­n of indie pop-rock and other styles of hip music, returns Feb. 25-March 3 and will feature more than 100 artists. Here are five shows that we have circled on the schedule. Teenage Fanclub: The highly influentia­l Scottish power-pop act headlines the Fillmore in San Francisco on Feb. 25. North Carolina’s the Love Language opens the show. Details: 8 p.m.; $27.50. The Marias: The Los Angeles psychedeli­c-soul act, featuring Maria on vocals, performs Feb. 27 at the New Parish in Oakland and March 3 at the Chapel in San Francisco. Katsu Oso is also on the bill. Details: 8 p.m.; $17-$20. MNEK: You might not recognize the name — yet. But millions have heard his production/songwritin­g work. He co-authored the great “Hold Up” tune on Beyonce’s “Lemonade” album and has worked with other notable artists as well. The rising R&B star performs Feb. 27at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco. Tayla Parkx, Raja Kumari and DJ Aaron Axelsen are also on the bill. Details: 8 p.m.; $17. Bob Mould: The alt-rock icon, who influenced legions of other acts with his work in the legendary Husker Du, performs March 2at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Opening for the Bob Mould Band is Film School.
