Lil Nas X had quite a weekend.

The rapper’s viral hit “Old Town Road” continues to dominate the Billboard charts, and he wowed audiences at the Glastonbury music festival in Britain, at one point performing alongside Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus.

And on Sunday, to mark World Pride Day, the 20-year-old took to Twitter to apparently come out as gay.

In the first among many exuberant tweets he posted Sunday, Lil Nas X told his 1.3 million followers to take a close listen to his new song “C7osure.”

He wrote that some “already know,” some “don’t care,” and some probably won’t support him as an artist any more after his revelation. “But before this month ends I want y’all to listen closely to ‘c7osure,’” he wrote.

His note was followed by a rainbow emoji. In the tune, Lil Nas X sings: “I want and I need / To let go / Use my time to be free … Ain’t no more actin’, man that forecast say I should just let me grow / No more red light for me, baby, only green, I gotta go … This is what I gotta do / Can’t be regrettin’ when I’m old.”

He then posted an image of his album cover, with rainbow-colored buildings, along with the message: “Deadass thought i made it obvious.”

The reactions among followers were overwhelmingly supportive. “Listen I support you 100% thank you for being your authentic self and sharing your truth,” one person tweeted in reply. “Just keep doing what you love !!! and Putting out great music !!!! Much love and respect.”

Others said they probably love him even more.

Lil Nas X, meanwhile, appeared to continue enjoying the moment by throwing out memes, as he is known to do.

He also kept up the jokes, tweeting, “It’s true I am a guy,” prompting one person to praise him as the master of “self-trolling.”

According to Pitchfork, “Old Town Road” has been the No. 1 song in the U.S. since April, breaking streaming records previously set by Drake and holding off two new Taylor Swift singles.
