Giannis, Bucks get best of NBA champs this time

Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 36 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 115-105 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night in the first meeting between the teams since the Eastern Conference finals.

Eric Bledsoe added 14 points and five assists, and Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez each had 11 points for the Bucks.

The Bucks had the best record in the East last season and then took a 2-0 lead over the Raptors in the conference finals, but Toronto took the next four.

GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER, BAZLEY LEAD THUNDER OVER PELICANS >> Shai Gilgeous-alexander had 23 points and eight rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the New Orleans Pelicans 115-104. The visiting Pelicans played most of the game without leading scorer Brandon Ingram, who left midway through the second quarter with an injury.

DRUMMOND, BROWN LEAD PISTONS OVER NETS >> Andre Drummond had 25 points and 20 rebounds, Bruce Brown added career highs of 22 points and seven assists, and the Detroit Pistons beat the visiting Brooklyn Nets 113-109.

PISTONS POINT GUARD OUT AT LEAST FOUR WEEKS >> Pistons guard Reggie Jackson is out at least four weeks with a back injury, the team announced. Jackson, who played the season’s first two games but has missed the last four, has a stress reaction in his lower back.

BLAZERS’ COLLINS TO HAVE SURGERY >> Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Collins will have surgery to repair his dislocated left shoulder. The timetable for his return won’t be determined until after surgery, according to the team.
