‘Survivor’ cast of past winners includes Concord’s Yul Kwon

CBS has announced the 20 standout winners of “Survivor” who will return to compete against each other on the 40th season of the popular reality competition.

The cast includes Concord native Yul Kwon, who now lives in Los Altos. He outwitted, outlasted and outplayed the competition in “Survivor: Cook Islands,” which aired in 2006.

Adam Klein, a native of Burlingame, also made the roster. Klein, who now makes his home in Los Angeles, competed much more recently, winning “Millennials vs. Gen-X” in 2016.

According to CBS, the 20th anniversary edition of the groundbreaking series, themed “Winners at War,” unites the “most memorable, heroic and celebrated champions from the past two decades” in the biggest battle in the show’s history.

The special two-hour premiere of the new season airs at 8 p.m. Feb. 12.
