Silicon Valley’s economic recovery team
San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo on Tuesday released the names of more than 50 business and community leaders tasked with guiding Silicon Valley’s recovery from the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Silicon Valley Recovery Roundtable — previously known as the Economic Recovery and Resilience Council — will advise local governing bodies on policy decisions, formulate advocacy priorities for local leaders to take to Sacramento and Washington, D.C., and identify actions employers can take to help solve problems created during the pandemic.
Over the next 100 days, the council is expected to hold multiple meetings and create a final report that will be available to policymakers and members of the public, according to Liccardo.
The roundtable includes individuals from a wide variety of sectors and areas of expertise, including higher education, health care, development, housing and big tech companies such as Google and Facebook.
