River Islands plans debut of 2 new neighborhoods in May
River Islands in Lathrop, named among the most successful masterplanned communities in America, is host to a dozen neighborhoods, priced from the mid-$400,000 range to the $600,000 range.
Since the opening of its first models in 2014, more than 1,500 households have moved to River Islands, primarily from the core Bay Area.
Today, more than ever, the attraction of living in a community of neighborhoods surrounded by acres of lakes, parks and
trails is strong. With so much open space, residents have been able to get outside with their families, while keeping a safe distance from others.
Built on the banks of the San Joaquin River, residents enjoy access to the hundreds of miles of navigable Delta waterways. River Islands’ location makes day-tripping to Yosemite, the Gold Country and the Lodi Wine Country convenient.
River Islands is especially proud of its response to the statewide closure of public schools. Its River Islands Technology Academy was already actively integrating digital devices into its curriculum, and as a result, its teachers were able to convert to a program of live online instruction within days. Two K-8 campuses are already built at River Islands, and new classrooms are being added for the fall term. In addition, a third K-8 will start construction soon, and plans are underway for a high school, all within the River Islands community.
This month, there are a lot of opportunities for homebuyers to purchase something new and unique. Just as two brand-new neighborhoods are preparing to open, so are a number of popular neighborhoods nearing their closeout. The model homes at Lakeside and Beacon Bay by Kiper Homes, Crystal Cove by Tim Lewis Communities and Castaway by Van Daele Homes have all been released for sale, offering buyers an opportunity to buy homes that have already been beautifully landscaped, with special flooring, wall coverings, light fixtures and upgraded appliances already in place — like moving into a home from a design magazine.
At the same time, two new neighborhoods are preparing for private tours by appointment and video showings. Kiper Homes, one of River Islands’ most popular homebuilders, will be taking calls about its new neighborhood, Catalina, starting this weekend at 209-2976300. Catalina will have three model homes, ranging in size from three to five bedrooms and 1,900 square feet to 2,380 square feet.
Tri Pointe Homes is building four models at its Breakwater neighborhood, with three to five bedrooms and 2,130 to 2,841 square feet of living space. All of these homes have a HomeSmart 2.0 system for convenience, energy efficiency and security.
The builders at River Islands are working with prospective homebuyers by video chat, FaceTime, Zoom and phone to set up ways to view the models, and go through the buying process in a safe and secure manner.
Information about all of the homes is available at the River Islands virtual Welcome Center, at RiverIslands.com or by calling 209-808-5168.
