- — Jim Harrington, Staff

Need a car wash? And a laugh? Well, this is definitely the month to visit the Tanforan Shell Carwash in San Bruno, which is hosting a fun fundraiser titled Relief-o-Rama through July. The event features comedy, live music and much more, and yes, social distancing and other COVID-19 safety precautions will be in effect. Proceeds and donations benefit “COVID-19 response efforts, local schools and arts, orphanages and other humanitarian projects,” according to a news release. Here’s what you can witness at Reliefo-Rama. Dunk the politician: Fear not, this is an equal opportunity game — dunk targets include Donald Trump and Joe Biden (look-alikes, of course), as well as Lindsey Graham and Nancy Pelosi, for that matter. You can even try to dunk a human-sized COVID-19 virus cell, though we’re not sure which political party it represents. John Di Domenico: The Bay Area satirist and Trump impersonator has appeared on “Today,” “The View” and “Conan.” “Hardly Unlikely” concert series: Local bands will play on the Hangry Mart rooftop stage, which is adorned with large sea horses and Neptune, the god of water and wet politicians. Car wash video: Enjoy a virtual reality “Bubbletown Video Show” as you take your car through the wash tunnel. Art display: Work from local artists, including sculptures of dinosaurs, will be on display on the car wash grounds. Details: Noon-4 p.m. weekend days through July; dunk the politician runs noon-6p.m. Saturdays; 1199El Camino Real, San Bruno; no charge for admission, car wash costs $9.99-$12.99, dunk the politician, three tosses for $5; 650589-7058, www.touchfreewash.com/ relief-o-rama.
