Chocolate thoughts

- — Jackie Burrell, Staff

A global pandemic, civil unrest, raging wildfires and now an Earth-bound asteroid? We’d really rather think about something else entirely. Something like … chocolate …

Stress baking

Delish, the foodie website, captured the zeitgeist last spring when everyone was madly baking banana bread and sourdough. It added a “*Currently Stress Baking” apron to its online store, a canvas number with deep pockets, adjustable straps and colorful lettering. It’s machine washable, too, so if you drip brownie batter on it, no worries.

Now that bestseller has a follow-up just in time for Election Day. The election-stress version ($28) features a blue donkey, a red elephant and a grimacing emoji and “*Currently Stress Baking” lettering in red, white and blue. You’ll find it in the Delish shop — store.delish.com — alongside T-shirts that let you declare your fluency in French (fries).
