Matchup to watch: Mills vs. Oregon State secondary. Mills makes his return to Corvallis, where he got his first win as a starter (in his second career start) last year by accounting for all four Stanford touchdowns — throwing for three in the first half and catching an eight-yard pass in the fourth quarter. Those three passing TDs equal his total through four games this season, though he hasn’t turned the ball over and has only taken five sacks. He’s been especially good during the winning streak but now must do it without two of his top three receivers.

Stats that matter: Jefferson and Stanford RB Austin Jones are tied for the conference lead with seven TDs. … Oregon State ILB Avery Roberts’ 21 tackles last Saturday against Utah are the most by a player nationally this season. … Stanford DE Thomas Booker has blocked an extra point in back-to-back weeks.
