A record-breaking day for Chiefs’ Kelce

-

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce broke George Kittle’s NFL single- season record for most receiving yards by a tight end during Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Kelce finished the game with seven receptions for 98 yards, giving him 1,416 yards for the season. Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers standout, set the record two years ago with 1,377.

“Raising the bar all year!!! Congrats @tkelce,” Kittle said on Twitter.

Kelce now has 105 receptions this season and is the first tight end in NFL history with two 100-catch seasons.

The eighth-year player made a club-record 103 catches two years ago and 97 last season.

Kelce added his 11th touchdown catch of the season in the second quarter and the 48th TD grab of his career.
