Embiid returns in the 76ers’ victory over Timberwolv­es

Philadelph­ia 76ers center Joel Embiid returned to the lineup for Saturday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolv­es after missing 10 games due to a bone bruise in his left knee and scored 24 points in a 122-113 victory by the Sixers.

The four-time All-star is averaging 29.9 points and 11.5 rebounds in 31 games this season. He was injured on March 12 at Washington, and the 76ers went 7-3 without him.

The MVP candidate has missed a total of 16 games with back and knee injuries this season.

Tobias Harris led Philadelph­ia with 32 points.

MAVERICKS 109, WIZARDS 87>> Luka Doncic scored 26 points to lead Dallaspast Washington.

Doncic shot 12 of 24 and had eight rebounds and six assists as Dallas has won four straight and completed a five-game roadtrip at 4-1.

Jalen Brunson scored 19 points and Boban Marjanovic posted his third double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 16 points and Dorian Finney-smith added 11.

Russell Westbrook had 26 points and 14 rebounds as the Wizards posted a season-low point total. Washington has dropped three straight and 11 of 14 since the All-star break.

HEAT 115, CAVALIERS 101 >> Duncan Robinson scored 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting on 3-pointers as Miami t continued its hoe dominance over Cleveland. Bam Adebayo finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Trevor Ariza scored 15 points and Jimmy Butler added 15 points and 11 assists as the Heat won their 20th straight against the Cavaliers in Miami.

Collin Sexton scored 26 points and Taurean Prince finished with a season high 19 points for the Cavaliers, who lost their fifth straight and have not win in Miami since Jan. 25, 2010.

knicks 125, pistons 81 >> Julius Randle scored 20 of his 29 points in the first quarter as New York pounded Detroit. Randle and Reggie Bullock, who had 22 points, had four 3-pointers apiece in the first as New York put it away early. The Knicks stopped a three-game slide, returning to .500 at 25-25.

RJ Barrett scored 14 points for New York, and Immanuel Quickley had 12. Elfrid Payton and Taj Gibson added 11 apiece. HAYWARD TO MISS AT LEAST A MONTH >> Gordon Hayward will miss at least a month after spraining his right foot during the Charlotte Hornets’ win Friday night over the Indiana Pacers. The team said in a statement Saturday that Hayward will be reevaluate­d in roughly four weeks. He was injured when he stepped on Myles Turner’s foot while driving to the basket in the second quarter and immediatel­y crumpled.
