Jennifer Lynn Fitzpatrick, 36, of Santa Monica, Calif.
Jennifer Lynn Fitzpatrick of Santa Monica, Calif., passed away on Mother’s Day, May 10th, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 36 years old.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she leaves behind many life-long friends from her participation in the Great Valley High School (class of 1997) Marching Band and music program. She attended Rider University (class of 2001), where she performed in numerous theater and dance productions and graduated Magna Cum Laude with majors in Fine Arts and Communications and a minor in Political Communications. Upon graduation she moved to Massachusetts where she lived on Cape Cod for five years and immediately began working as a Colonial Interpreter at Plimoth Plantation portraying Bridget Fuller. Later on, she became a news reporter for the Memorial Press Group, covering the town of Pembroke, Mass. Jen also worked as an Audiometer Technician intern at Harborside Hearing Care Center, a position that endeared her to co-workers and clients.
Jen eventually achieved her life long dream by moving to California to pursue a career in acting and music. For the last nine years of her life she lived in Santa Monica, a seaside locale that brought her much joy and happiness. It was also during this time that she met the love of her life, Jeff.
Jen’s talents were varied, from being a prolific writer to an accomplished singer and musician. She played fiddle and sang with the group Sugar in the Gourd. She was selftaught on the mandolin and ukulele, and was often asked to sing at weddings. A high point in her career was doing voiceover work for an animated Disney film. Jen’s organizational abilities, her self discipline and superb work ethic were also much appreciated by her coworkers at OI Partners, The Maguire Group where she worked as an Administrative Coordinator. Jen was a life-long learner and her most recent quest was to become a speech therapist. Sadly, she did not get to experience the joy of being recently accepted into a graduate program for speech pathology, as her acceptance arrived shortly after her passing. Her family and friends are none the less very proud of her.
Jen leaves behind her boyfriend Jeffrey Beeland; her mother, Linda Mueller (husband Peter); her father, Stephen Fitzpatrick (wife Donna); maternal grandmother, Elba Ferrari; siblings, Ethan Fitzpatrick (wife Justyna), Kelly Bryant (husband Alex), Matthew, Rafhael, and Rachael and her beloved dachshund Arpad. She also is survived by her many uncles, aunts and cousins.
As a gifted musician and singer, Jen touched the lives of many with her beautiful voice. Sensitive, intuitive, witty and loving, she cherished her friends and family and gave generously of her time and attention. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. The world is now a little less bright because she is no longer here with us.
Jen, sweet girl, you will live on forever in your beautiful music and song and in our warm and wonderful memories of you.
Cape Cod was one of Jen’s favorite places and a celebration of her life will be held on her beloved beach in Dennis, Mass., in September. Jen would have wanted any donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
