Spring-Ford taxpayers need to hold onto their wallets because it looks like the school board president is going to get his million-dollar weight room. He hired an architectural firm to do a study whether it’s needed. That’s like hiring the fox to guard the henhouse. Come on now seriously?

The U-6 Unemployment Rate or real unemployment rate was unchanged at 9.9 percent according to the latest BLS report for January. This is now 10 years without a single year of even 3 percent growth. The Democratic candidate for president bemoans the slow growth economy despite Obama crying about it but still insist on following his lousy policies if reelected. Go figure.

Does anyone know what happened to Company Cakes Bakery? I drove past about a month ago and it was closed. I thought it was a thriving business. Have ordered cookies there and they were great and I’m really surprised. If anyone knows, please call in.
Hey Jim Dandy, you are right about something. Gun sales have reached an all-time-high since Obama was elected. Thanks to Fox News they’re in the business of creating a gloom-and-doom scenario to benefit the gun manufacturers. I just wonder how many people are hiding in their basement or bunkers stockpiling weapons, afraid of their own shadow. What a great life.
The people still complaining about snow plowing from the last storm, here’s the facts. It’s impossible to plow roads and keep it out of driveways and if we try to plow the shoulders, that would make it worse. Besides with the amount of snow fromthe last storm most towns don’t have the equipment and/or the funds to plow wide. As for intersections there’s no other place to put the snow without a huge increase in cost.

I just received a call on my cell phone from Washington State, 509-588-7318, indicating that I was being sued by the IRS And that this was my final notice. Obviously this is a scam because the IRS recently said on the radio that they always notify taxpayers in writing first. Please be careful and do not be tricked by these con artists.

Jim Dandy wants to know another time when Americans wanted to take back America. How about the end of George W. Bush’s term when we were in two wars, lost over 3,000 people to a terrorist attack and Bush lost, over the course of eight years, 13 million jobs if you start counting after the great recession Bush handed Obama? The Wall Street Journal declared it the worst track record on record on jobs.

Here’s another scam number 206-488-6994 supposedly from the IRS saying there was a lawsuit against us and to call immediately. I knew it was a scam but I wanted to hear what they had to say so I called. They answered as “Internal Revenue Service, Officer so and so speaking.” When I challenged them about the call being a scam, they hung up.
John from Mont Clare, Ted Kennedy was one of the worst senators ever to occupy the senate. It’s unfortunate that death was his only term limit.
As a veteran of the Army I was pleased to see Lady Gaga finally sing a song that was to honor our country and sing it properly. So many times at these sporting events you get some guy or girl in there who think they have written the song and they know better. Hats off to Lady Gaga. I’m not a fan of hers by any means but she did a beautiful job prior to the Super Bowl.
I read in Sound Off that the District of Columbia wants to pay criminals $9,000 not to commit crimes. I don’t think that’s legal to pay extortion to them.

I live in North Coventry and travel Airport Road to and from work and there’s always a green North Coventry sewer truck parked on the property digging ditches, cutting grass or loading the truck up with trash. Could you tell me why?
Taxpayers in the SpringFord School District, do you really believe that the University of SpringFord will not get its weight room or music room? If you do then you must be living on another planet.
