Phoenixville: The 2016 Phantom Fundraiser will be held at 6p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, at the Rivercrest Golf Club and Preserve and is open to the community. It is hosted by The Phoenixville Community Education Foundation, a charitable corporation dedicated to improving public education in the Phoenixville area. This event raises money to fund learning programs and initiatives that benefit students, teachers and principals throughout Phoenixville Area School District. Guests will enjoy dinner, dancing, and silent and live auctions. Using the Bid-Pal app on their smartphone, guests can try to win the auction for items such as gift certificates to local restaurants, jewelry, music lessons, tickets to area attractions, and more. Parents also look forward to bidding on “priceless” items donated by each of the schools in the district including extra recess passes, principal for a day, and VIP seating for school plays, concerts and graduations. Also featured will be a wine pull with premium wines from the Napa Valley. A highlight of the event is the “We Do This” showcase where guests will have the opportunity to meet students and teachers who benefited directly from the generous donations.
