James R. Ostebo, 37, of Royersford, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016.

He was born on September 4, 1978 in Farsund, Norway to Michelle (Phelps) Ostebo of Royersford and the late John Ostebo.

James was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School, and was self-employed as a landscaper. He proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the Spring-Ford #553 Masonic Lodge in Royersford.

In addition to his mother, James is survived by one sister, Sabrina, wife of David Graycar of Gilbertsvi­lle, PA; two brothers, Johann Erik Ostebo, fiancé of Laura Conway of Spring City, PA and Kurt Paul Ostebo of Spring City; one nephew, Mason Graycar and one niece, Reaghan Graycar; Tante Evelyn and Onkel Magne; and five cousins, Annbjorg, May Irene, JanSverre, Bjorn and Ivar all of Norway; and two loving dogs, Jack and Maggie. James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparen­ts, Sverre and Ingerbjorg Ostebo, Tante Ingerlise and Onkel Pete Pedersen.

James was true free spirit and loved the outdoors. He was the most genuine, selfless person you could meet. Always willing to offer a helping hand with a big, kind smile.

James always embraced the “AMAZING” world around him.

James… Spread your wings and fly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Officiatin­g will be Rev. Gary Dierolf.

Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
