The Owen J. Roberts wrestling teamwas busy Thursday evening. They had reason to be nervous, too. Pottstown was pushing the Wildcats in their Pioneer Athletic Conference dual, the Trojans trailing by just one (25-24) with four bouts remaining. But Nick Duliakas’ pin at 182 turned the tide back in OJR’s favor as they rode out a 34-30 victory in the ‘ Battle of the Bridge’ to earn its second win of the day.

Earlier Thursday, OJR defeated Pottsgrove, 53-19.

Duliakas, Tyler McCutchen (113), Daniel Mancini (126) and William Scherfel (220) won both their bouts while Luke Resnick and Ryan Resnick were also 2-0, each benefitting from a forfeit.

Against Pottstown, OJR built a 25-6 lead but the Trojans answered with four straight wins that included back-to-back pins by Mason Pennypacker (152) – his 100th career win – and Saddiq Ibn-Mustafah (160) and was capped by Isaiah Mayes’ 7-4 decision of Micky Kohn for a 25-24 OJR lead. The teams split the final bouts but Duliakas’ pin provided the difference.
