NORRISTOWN >> A Quakertown man has admitted to his role in breaking into a Souderton home.

Doran B. Snider, 23, of the 200 block of West Broad Street, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court in front of Judge Thomas P. Rogers to a felony charge of robbery, according to court documents.

Snider was arrested after police responded to a call on the first block of North Front Street the afternoon of Feb. 24. The owner of the apartment said he was at home with his sons, when one came into his bedroom and told him that there were strangers in the home, according to the criminal complaint.

The man and his oldest son confronted the intruders. The son told police he knew one of the men who broke in and that they began to argue about money the son owed him, the complaint said. The altercation became physical when Snider punched the son. Another man held back the father as the two fought.

Snider pleaded to robbery, and remaining charges of conspiracy, burglary, simple assault and others are set to be dropped at sentencing, according to court documents. As part of the plea agreement, Snider will testify against another man allegedly involved in the robbery, Anthony McDonald, of Ridley Park, who is still awaiting trial for robbery, conspiracy, aggravated assault and related charges.

Sentencing for Snider was deferred, as the judge ordered a presentence investigation, according to court documents. Snider was remanded back into custody without bail.
