Lee Ray Weil, 92, of Wyomissing, husband of Virginia R. (Robenolt) Weil, died Thursday at Reading Hospital & Medical Center.

Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Emmanuel B. Weil and the late Martha (Jordan) Weil.

Ray was a profession­al engineer for STV - Sanders & Thomas, Inc. for 39 years before retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Ray was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Pottstown, Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge #814, Pottstown Moose Club, and Pottstown Owls Club.

Surviving beside his wife is a brother, Joseph Weil, Reading; and a half sister, Kathryn Wilson.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday Sept. 2, 2016 from Country Meadows Retirement Community, 1800 Tulpehocke­n Road, Wyomissing. Officiatin­g will be the Rev. Jeffrey C. Stonesifer. Burial will be private in Highland Memorial Park. There will be no viewing.
