Haas, Goida send Bears past Methacton

Savanna Haas and Katie Goida each turned in low-round honors with a pair of 42’s to lead Boyertown past Methacton in a Pioneer Athletic Conference golf match on Monday at Twin Ponds.

BOYERTOWN 185, METHACTON 189 » Savanna Haas and Katie Goida each tied for the low-round with a pair of 42’s as the Bears downed the Warriors in a Pioneer Athletic Conference match at Twin Ponds Golf Course (Par 35).

Emma Lawrie paced Methacton with a 43 followed by Ashley Liu with a 46. Natalie Stabilito (48) and Emily Bradley (53) rounded out the scoring for Boyertown. SPRING-fORD 204, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 208 » Emily Pochet turned in a matchlow 44 to lead the Rams to a tight PAC win over the Vikings.

Sam Weidman followed Pochet with a 46. PV’s Katie Pupollo turned in a 46 while teammate Alyssa Washeleski finished at 47.

POPE JOHN PAUL II 239, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 270 » JT Spina shot a 2-under 34 to lift the Golden Panthers to a non-league victory over the Crusaders at Old York Road Country Club.

James Poot and David Antonuik each followed Spina with a pair of 39’s while Greg Heriak (40) and Mike Limongelli (43) closed out the PJP scorecard. Wilson’s Jake Duffy shot an even-par 70 while teammates Andrew Morris and Andrew Gallagher each finished at 72.
