Upper Pottsgrove: The annual Community Days will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Heather Place Park, 1420 Heather Place, hosted by the Upper Pottsgrove Township Open Space and Recreation Board, Hopewell Community Church and the Upper Pottsgrove Township Board of Commission­ers. In the event of rain it will be held at the Pottsgrove Middle School, 1351 N. Hanover St.; the change will be noted on the website and on Facebook. This will be a chance to meet many community leaders such as your local representa­tives, senators, commission­ers, first responders and more. There will be character appearance­s, free food, drinks and games. The Pottsgrove Alumni Band will be performing at 1 p.m. and music will be provided throughout the

Pottstown: An important meeting of the Pottstown NAACP Branch 2288 Nomination Committee Elections will be held tonight— Executive Committee at 6 p.m. and General Membership at 7 p.m. at Montgomery County Community College West Campus, 101 College Drive, in the Community Room. All members are encouraged to attend. The Pottstown NAACP Branch 2288 is also offering online and paper voter registrati­on services at The Mercury Community Media Lab, 24 N. Hanover St., on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The deadlines are Oct. 11 (physical) and Nov. 1 (absentee ballots).

Spring City: The Spring City Library, 245 Broad St., is hosting the second annual Read and Seed, an evening of agricultur­e, education and culinary delights. The event will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 at the library. Mike McGrath of WHYY’s You Bet Your Garden fame returns this year as the featured speaker. Local foods will be served, prepared by world-class chefs, plus wine, beer sampling by Spring City’s Tuned Up Brewery, and live music.
