Rev. Othel R. Jackson, 82

Rev. Othel R. Jackson, 82, of St. Louis, MO passed on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. He was born April 20, 1934 to the late Andrew and Carrie Lee Jackson in La Fayette, AL.

Rev. Jackson was a graduate of Miles College in Birmingham, AL with a Bachelor of Arts. As an adult, he went on to earn a Master of Divinity Degree from Phillips School of Theology within the Inter-Denominational Theology Center (ITC) in Atlanta where he served many years on the Board of Directors.

Rev. Jackson pastored for 53 years and in that time he built many Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) churches in the states of Alabama, Missouri and Florida. All of this was done while he remained loving and committed to his family.

Rev. Jackson leaves to mourn his memory a son, Jeffery (Valerie) Jackson of Pottstown, two granddaughters, Erica Jackson and Tiffany Harris, two grandsons Josiah and Evan Jackson, two great-grandsons Dominick Dunn and Emory Walker and a host of relatives. He was predeceased by wives Mary Evelyn Jackson and later Elizabeth Jackson and a brother, Charles Jackson.

Rev. Jackson was laid to rest in Phenix City, AL and a memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Bethel AME Church 401 Beech St., Pottstown at 11:00 am. Rev. Garrison R. Lockley will officiate. Rev. Alen W. Harris Sr. will be the eulogist.
