House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a Catholic, said during her town hall on CNN that Pope Francis agrees with her position that the president’s temporary pause on refugees is not Christian. However when someone in the audience pointed out that Pope Francis disagrees with her position on abortion, she said she knows more about the subject than he does. How convenient.

What is a mother to do with her baby after being raped by her husband or lover or some street derelict was the shocking question asked in Sound Off recently. The child is innocent on any level and deserves life and protection from the mother. There are courts for child support and agencies for adoption. There are countless childless couples waiting for the privilege to raise a child. All life is a gift from God and may heaven help us. Martha

I agree with the person who said that anyone who believes what the Republicans have to say has far too much time on their hands and needs to get a life.

President Trump said the American people will not have to pay for the wall. So if he’s so sure that the Mexicans will pay let him and his billionaire cabinet pay for it. I just read in The Mercury that some of the bridges in Pottstown are falling apart and they need repair. Maybe that’s the answer to all the speeding that’s going on along Moser Road. People are trying to get out of town before the bridges crumble and they can’t get out.

In reference to Mark Furlong’s Sound Off about the low profit margin of the fast food industry, I don’t have any idea where he is getting his information. The fast food industry is a very very high profit margin. Unless you’re in it and higher up in management they’re not going to tell you that.
