Chestnut Knoll recognizes participants of FOX Rehabilitation Optimal Living Program
BOYERTOWN » Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care recently celebrated residents that participate in the FOX Optimal Living Program, showcasing their achievements for family and friends.
The awards ceremony was held on Jan. 29, 2017. This year roughly 75 Chestnut Knoll residents were recognized, as well as 6 community members.
Chestnut Knoll has been offering its residents therapy and wellness services provided by FOX Rehabilitation since 2013, in the FOX Optimal Living Program. The program is designed to help each resident achieve his or her personal goals of optimal strength, mobility, balance and overall quality of life by providing all residents with an evidence-based continuum of therapy and/or wellness services.
At Chestnut Knoll the program boasts 100 percent resident engagement, and provides services to community members who can attend strength, mobility and balance classes at no cost.
FOX has continued to collect data from the FOX Optimal Living program at Chestnut Knoll, and is in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University to help analyze this data. Specific functional outcomes measures are collected on all Chestnut Knoll residents, as well as studying falls, hospitalizations, and length of stay.
