Most towns including here charge you for your water bill at the end of the three months so that they know how much water you used which makes sense, and most towns bill you every three months for the sewer and you pay at the end of the three months. Can anyone tell me why Berks (Mont.) makes you pay in advance? For January, February, March they made us pay it at the end of January when we haven’t even used it for February or March. Why?

Residents of Upper Providence, as you read this you all have received your tax statement and saw the big increase in your statement. The tax collector has nothing to do with the big increase. The tax collector only sends out the tax statement and collects the amount due.

Friday’s cartoon on the opinion page hit the nail on the head. All American Girl stuff that kids demand and parents must provide is made in China. I live on Township Line Road in Douglas Township and PennDOT has been doing some extensive work here the past few days and you know the old adage “How many does it take to change a light bulb?” Well there must be 12 or 13 workers down there. I should say two or three workers with about eight watching what they do. This is our taxpayers’ money at work.

For the person stating that if you don’t like our country get out, number one this is not your country. Number two there are people whose families have been in this country for a couple hundred years and for you to tell them to leave is despicable. If you don’t like the way that they protest then maybe you should get out.

To all those liberal snowflakes crying about Donald Trump in Sound Off, the Russians didn’t vote in this election, the American people did. If you’re complaining about Trump as president you must be crying because you know you’re going to lose your government handouts. Get on the Trump train or get off the tracks.
