With Obama’s blessing, Democrat mobs have cost the developers of the Dakota Access Pipeline and therein consumers a reported $450 million. An estimated 1.5 million taxpayer dollars will be required to prevent an ecological disaster by removing tons of trash, human waste and 200 vehicles left in a flood plain. Mark Furlong

Sure having an Indian restaurant, the Carousel, mini-golf course, Steel River Playhouse, etc. could bring people to Pottstown but without rail service, Pottstown’s never going to be very successful Mr. Weand. Borough council needs to get on the right track. The Queen of the Hill

On Friday and Saturday afternoon, Daniel Boone High School had Dr. Seuss’ “Cat in the Hat” and it was wonderful. They had a good show. All the kids were smiling and dancing and had different kinds of outfits on and it was great. Thank you to Daniel Boone High School.

Young people, do not use marijuana. It removes your inhibitions to use other things and once you use marijuana you’re more likely to go along with the crowd and take drugs which would cause you not to be able to get a good job and also get yourself in a lot of trouble. So please don’t use drugs.

Could Walmart fix a pothole on their back entrance? Anyone who doesn’t know it’s there at night could lose a wheel or at least get a flat tire. Thank you. A Customer

Trump must have some really strong evidence that his phone was wiretapped by the United States government. If he doesn’t he’s a fool for tweeting it.

I’ve come to believe most families are like fudge, mostly sweet but with a few nuts. Jim Fitch

Sometimes you just have to bow your head, say a prayer and weather the storm. Beech Street Mom

I have a deep concern that our country is but a tweet away from World War III with this socalled president we have in office today.

There have been schools reported with lead in the water. I think there should be a testing of water fountains in every school. Children shouldn’t have to be getting sick before something is done. They should be checked at least once a year. Ellis of Boyertown

How many people need to get killed on Route 100 before there’s some kind of a police presence up there, state or local? You never see either one and the guys are driving on there like it’s NASCAR.

Congratulations to the Pottstown High School cast of “Little Shop of Horrors,” a fine group of talented young students. It really was an upbeat show. Break a leg. Jean Sweeney, Pottstown High Class of 1956

Attention all registered Democratic voters and protesters on illegal immigrants, starting with the highest ranking public official in your area, you are to go to your borough or township police station and take one arrested criminal immigrant and their family to your home for one year and provide food, shelter and medical help with transportation at your expense. Mike M.

We sure better do something about this president because we’re going to have big problems. You can see it building and building. Until we do something seriously we’re in grave danger. This is not a laughing matter anymore. It’s a matter of life and death. Think about it people.

I’m wondering if Jay Miller’s Sound Off comments about Obama not leaving our country in a mess was an attempt at being funny. I guess he thinks Obama brought our country together, wasn’t serious about drawing a line in the sand nor was he responsible for leading his Democratic party in complete disarray. Jay, I have a bridge to sell you.

Has anyone ever noticed that the new developments usually end in the word “farm” like Cherry Tree Farms, Turnberry Farms, etc.? I think the word “farm” is in there for the land that they destroyed to build the development. What do you think?

Pottsgrove doesn’t need a sound ordinance as much as they need a site ordinance. Our taxes are high, expectations are low, real estate values are decreasing due to unsightly yards that look like the city dump and scrap yards. Come out of my development in South View and you’ll see abandoned cars, autos not registered, boards, broken fences, cinder blocks, trash cans out 24/7, household junk, rusty equipment, trucks, rusty tanks, tarps, windows, water tanks, etc. Please Help

We hear a pump running between Ziegler Road and the trailer park in Parkerford. Please fix it. It sounds like a pump. It runs all day and all night. Very annoying.

I had to laugh at the person who called the protesters bullies when there’s no bigger bully than Donald Trump. First he whines, then he blames, then he threatens. Whine, blame, threaten. Donald Trump, whiner and bully in chief.
