BB&T supports the Foundation for Pottstown Education with EITC donation
POTTSTOWN >> BB&T recently supported the work of the Foundation for Pottstown Education through funding in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit. The check for $1,000 will support the Early College Program which provides juniors and seniors at the Pottstown High School the opportunity to take courses at the Montgomery County Community College West Campus.
Educational Improvement Tax Credit is a program providing tax credits to eligible businesses contributing to a Scholarship Organization, an Educational Improvement Organization, and/or a Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization. Businesses, as well as organizations receiving the Educational Improvement Tax Credit funding, must apply and be approved by the Department of Community and Economic Development to participate.
The Early College Program is one of many initiatives that the Foundation for Pottstown Education offers to the students of the Pottstown School District and is a program that is approved to receive the Educational Improvement Tax Credit funds. The students accepted into this program can enroll in courses at the Montgomery County College West Campus here in Pottstown. Upon successful completion of the two year program, the student will have their freshman year of college completed as they graduate high school.

Mark Taylor has been named as a senior managing director investments.
Previously, Taylor was a senior vice president investments.
Taylor specializes in institutional retail and net leased property investments and is a senior director
of Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors Retail. He has been with the firm since 2001 and has successfully brokered the sale of more than $3.5 billion in investment properties across 40 states, including more than 130 shopping centers and more than 450 net leased properties.
