Connie L. (Simcox) Tomes, 68, of Pottstown

Connie L. (Simcox) Tomes, 68, of King St., Pottstown, wife of Albert B. Tomes, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Bellefonte, PA, she was a daughter of the late Mary P. (Shuey) Sneddon and the late Boyd Weaver.

Connie worked as a Machine Operator for John Middleton for ten years.

She was a social member of the Pottstown VFW, Manatawny Association, and American Legion.

Surviving beside her husband is a son, Timothy S. Simcox and his wife Jenny, Spring City; five step sons, Thomas Hanratty, Gilbertsville, John Ridgeway, Pottstown, Albert Tomes, Jr. FL, David Tomes Sr., WV, Steven Miller, WV; nine step daughters, April Biuckians, Lancaster, Barbara Kinney, NJ, Debbie Burdge, NJ, Stephanie Dice, Gilbertsville Sherry Scott, NJ, Terry Shelton, WV, Judy Tomes, NJ, Connie Tomes, MD, Wendy Fisher, FL; two brothers, James W. Simcox, OH, Arthur A. Simcox, VA; two sisters, Sarah Kate Bathurst, Pottstown, Alice J. Pollock, Hawk Run, PA; eight grandchildren, one great grandson, and many step grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. on Monday at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Rev. Timothy Bathurst. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. There will be a viewing Monday from 10:30 to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
