Eleanor Louise (Thren) Peterman, 83, of Jeffersonville

Eleanor Louise (Thren) Peterman, 83, of Jeffersonville, PA, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her home.

Born on May 29, 1933 in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Race) Thren. Eleanor was a retired psychiatric aide at Norristown State Hospital. As an avid music fan, she also worked at the Valley Forge Music Fair.

She was full of life, high spirited and always seemed much younger than her years. She loved swimming, dancing, biking, cruising, playing the slots and seeing the Rolling Stones.

She is survived by three daughters: Barbara and husband George Miller of Elverson, PA; Cheryl Peterman Walsh and husband Kevin, of Lancaster, PA; and Justine Peterman of Guttenberg, NJ; sister, Doris, wife of late Paul Smith of Stowe, PA; brother, Robert Cordell Thren and companion Don Collins of Big Pine Key, FL; granddaughter, Amanda R. Miller of Elverson, PA; sister-in-law Peggy Derrick Thren, of Ocala, FL; brotherin-law, Richard Kemmerer of Royersford and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are sisters: Ruth Batzel, Virginia Williams, and Jean Kemmerer; brothers: Richard Thren, Kenneth Thren and Frederick Thren; and fiancé Will Simms.
