Why does Pennsylvania continue to either turn their clocks ahead or back when other states are doing away with it? I was wondering the real reason for it. A Curious Subscriber
Has anyone noticed besides me that when you’re watching Channel 6, whenever there’s a commercial the volume increases to the point of hurting your ears? I thought I’d mention it. Do you think we can do something about it? There used to be a law against it. Is this still in place or do we need a new one? Crazy Horse
My call goes out to the person who feels compelled to blame former President Obama for holding up the Dakota pipeline that is destined to destroy some of the most pristine land in our country. And by the way that land was taken from Native Americans through eminent domain by another country. Is that how you make America great again?
The trust of the president of the United States is very important for many reasons but especially for the people. When Trump says things that have no evidence either he says these things knowing they are not true in order to divert the public and misusing the power of the president or he believes they are true when they are not and he refuses to seek the truth. This is a real lack of judgment but around the world his judgment is questioned and he loses his credibility. DP
It is ironic that teachers concerned about student behavior cast ballots in overwhelming numbers for Barack Obama who under the guise of “disparate impact” established numerical limits for disciplinary action which if exceeded could result in a loss of federal funding. Mark Furlong
Sen. Andy Dinniman is claiming that the gas pipelines and lobbyists are holding up legislation in Harrisburg and holding it hostage. Will Sen. Dinniman say the same thing about the teachers union who are holding up legislation on pension reform and property tax reform? People are losing their homes because
of property taxes not gas pipelines. You can’t have it both ways Sen. Dinniman.
This is to the ghost writer who says he doesn’t know where all the money goes from their driver’s license and extra $5. Here’s just one little thing where it might go to. The state of Pennsylvania has more roads than all of New England, New York state and New Jersey state roads combined. Think about that the next time you’re going to pay the extra $5.
This is a sweet shout-out to whoever found my car keys in Reese Park and delivered them to the police department. Thank you so very much. It is greatly appreciated. I know you went out of your way and God bless you.
If when I was 10-years-old someone would have told me that in the future you wouldn’t be taught cursive writing but you would have to be able to type with your thumbs, I’d have to call them crazy. Jim Fitch
Now hear this, now hear this. Two weeks ago, Jay Miller predicted that Scott Pruitt would have resigned from the EPA. This has not happened. He’s busy draining the swamp from all the leftist lunatics there, turning it into a law-abiding agency.
Why doesn’t Trump release his tax return? He’s clearly hiding something. What a coward. What a liar.
Just to let people know there other things besides politics to voice our opinions on. My handicap placard had not come a few weeks back so I called Schneider Auto Tags, 2089 E. High St. They sent me the necessary forms to send to Harrisburg. My placard came. Their kindness is greatly appreciated. This kind of warm service and no charges is what made Pottstown the hometown of people looking out for others. Let’s keep it going and be a little town with a big heart.
In regards to the article that appeared in The Mercury on Sunday about the Pottstown Middle School, that is a disgrace. Somebody has to get in there
and start cleaning up and getting rid of the people who don’t want to discipline those children. I feel very very sad that the teachers have to go through that. They need a housecleaning in the administration.
Whose responsibility is it to replace bulbs in street lights? There are quite a few not working on Industrial Highway and in North Coventry on River Road and Laurelwood Road. Thank you for whoever might read this and be able to find out who can take care of getting lights there again.
To the person in the Sound Off on Monday who’s concerned about people driving around high on pot in Pennsylvania, not to worry, pot smokers drive very slow.
