Carla C. Brown, 55, of Shillington

Carla C. Brown, wife of the late Christopher David Brown, died at Reading Hospital on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Born in Phoenixville to the late Fernley Stickland and Bonnie Dell Strickland, Carla was a 1979 graduate of Spring Ford High School. She was artistic and loved to create her own jewelry. Carla enjoyed music and was a comfort to her in her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She loved working with people, especially in the restaurant business. Carla leaves behind her loving mother, Bonnie Strickland; two children: Heather L. Hartman (husband, Frank R.) Spring City and Chelsea A. Brown of Royersford; three grandchildren: Franklin C. Hartman, Addison L. Hartman, Landon S. Brown; brother: Mark E. Strickland (wife, Maria) New Tripoli, PA.

Preceding her in death were her husband: Christopher David Brown and son: Jason Donald Brown. Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial service at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St., Spring City, PA 19475 on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 7:00 PM with Pastor John Shantz presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:30 to 7:00 PM. Burial will be private at the Bethel United Methodist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, PA 19475.
