Silvia’s, Berks East Gymnastics fly high at State Championships
Silvia’s Gymnastics
Silvia’s Gymnastics Levels 9 and 10 competed in the 2017 Pennsylvania Gymnastics State Championships held at Central Mountain High School and hosted by Dynamats Gymnastics Center on March 18th-19th.
JUNIOR A >> Marissa Leamy placed fourth on floor and placed fifth on bars. JUNIOR B >> McKenna Little is the State Champion on floor, placed second on beam, third on vault and fifth AA. Abby Royer placed third on floor, fourth AA, and sixth on beam. JUNIOR C >> Abby Chesshire tied for sixth on floor. SENIOR A >> Sophie Rocereta is State Champion on floor.
Senior C >> Kayla Staquet placed third on beam.
The following Silvia’s Level 9 gymnasts qualified for Regional Championships: Marissa Leamy, Abby Royer, McKenna Little, Kailey Ferri, Abby Cheshire, Sophie Rocereta, and Lexie Hammer.
JUNIOR A >> Sophia Bronico placed fourth on floor, fifth on beam, and sixth AA; Olivia Vanhorn is State Champion on floor. JUNIOR B >> Kendall Whitman placed third on floor and fourth AA. SENIOR A >> Olivia Casey tied for third on vault. SENIOR B >> Hailey Lui placed fifth on floor.
The following Silvia’s Level 10 gymnasts qualified for Regional Championships: Sophia Bronico, Olivia Vanhorn, Kendall Whitman, Olivia Casey, Kasey Ricci, Hailey Lui, Emily Wojcik, Madison Rennix, Jessica Hutchinson, and Paige Apperson.
Silvia’s Gymnastics Level 4 and Xcel gymnasts competed in the Golden Ram Classic hosted by West Chester University Gymnastics on March 17-18, 2017.

AGE9>> Devon Conn tied for third on floor, placed fifth on vault and AA, and sixth on bars; Kylie Boyle placed third on beam, placed fourth AA, tied for fourth on bars, and tied for fifth on floor; Ariana Deleon tied for fourth on floor and placed sixth on beam; Elliott Harris tied for third on floor; Samantha Pedrick placed second on vault and AA, fourth on beam, tied for fourth on floor, and placed fifth on bars. AGE 10 >> Jordan Boyd tied for fourth on floor; Emma Ranaglia placed first on vault, second AA, fourth on beam, and tied for fourth on floor; Angelina Sacchetti placed second on floor and fifth on bars. AGE 11 >> Victoria Quintois placed fifth on beam and AA. Silvia’s Level 4 team placed third.
AGE 13-AND-UNDER >> Greta Freed placed second on floor, third on vault, fourth on beam and AA, and sixth on bars; Taylor Piano tied for first on floor. AGE 14 >> Olivia Omernik placed first on floor, fourth on vault and bars, and fifth AA. AGE 10-AND-UNDER AGE 11 >> >> on vault. AGE 13-14 >> Sierra Sullivan placed third on floor.
Berks East Gymnastics
The Berks East Gymnastics Level 9 team competed in the 2016 Pennsylvania Level 9 State Championship meet hosted by Dynamats Gymnastics Center in Williamsport, PA this past weekend, March 18th and 19th.
JUNIOR B >> Madison Coburn placed third on vault; Elizabeth Romano placed third on bars. SENIOR A >> Sarah Foster placed fifth on bars. SENIOR C >> Lexi Smith is the Pennsylvania State champion on vault. Keeley Mitch placed sixth on beam. SENIOR D >> Hannah Grillo placed fifth All-Around and fourth on bars and beam.
Madison Coburn, Abby Grillo, Elizabeth Romano, Nicole Fisher, Tessa Moran-Santangelo, Sarah Foster and Hannah Grillo all qualified for Level 9 Regionals to be held April 8th and 9th.
The Berks East Gymnastics Level 8 team competed in the 2017 Pennsylvania Level 8 State Championship meet hosted by Rainbow Gymnastics in Waynesboro, PA the weekend of March 11th and 12th.
SENIOR D >> Hannah Rybacki placed second on vault.
Carlie Lewis, Gianna Campisi and Hannah Rybacki all qualified for Level 8 Regionals being held April 1st and 2nd.
