Gertrude V. (Ewing) Frankenberg, 85, of Limerick

Gertrude V. (Ewing) Frankenberg, 85, wife of the late John E. “Jack” Frankenberg, Oak Ln., Limerick Twp., died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Frankenberg was born on November 26, 1931, in the Linfield section of Limerick Twp. She was the daughter of the late William R. and Mary E. (Houck) Ewing.

Mrs. Frankenberg was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. She was a life member of the Limerick Fire Co. and avid bingo player.

Mrs. Frankenberg is survived by her children, E. Jean, wife of the late Donald Hess, Gilbertsville, Judith, wife of Barry Rhoads, Limerick, and John Frankenberg, Jr., at home; five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and her brothers, James, husband of Frances (Brickhouse) Ewing, E. Vincent Twp., and Charles, husband of Helen (Derby) Ewing, Linfield. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and John Ewing.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, at St. James Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Christopher McKinstry, Pastor, and Bobbie Hoffman, Dir. of Discipling, officiating. Burial will be in Limerick Garden Of Memories, Limerick Twp. Friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, Saturday, at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd., Limerick, PA 19468. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
