Pottstown: Harris Family Ministries is hosting a fundraising banquet from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, at Brookside Country Club, 850 N. Adams St., to help support the mothers and children who enter House of Restoration ,a Christ-centered substance abuse program. Both mother and child receive treatment and counseling to help with self esteem, parenting, substance abuse, nutrition and much more. Montgomery County Commissioner Dr. Valerie Arkoosh will be the keynote speaker. Anakai Smith Ney and the Smith Family singers will provide entertainment with a special guest appearance from a representative of Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s office. Tickets are $55 with a silent auction as part of the evening. All proceeds benefit the House of Restoration. For tickets or more information contact Rev. Pottstown: The Open Link, Auction Annual Brunch and Silent Associates, and auction items donated by local businesses and individuals. Prizes so far include gift baskets, handcrafted items, gift certificates to local businesses, a home alarm system, jewelry, a vacation stay, plus much more.
